The Weyburn Comprehensive School decided to cancelthe delivery of the fruit from their fruit fundraiser.
Students sold over 1,250 cases, which means numerous pallets of product, and the logistics of getting all of this out to their customers in a safe manner was deemed as not feasible.
“The safety of our students, staff and community are of the utmost importance to us,” said the message from WCS to all parents of students at the school.
“We will be issuing refund cheques to everyone who bought from our fundraiser. These will be mailed in the next few weeks as we work through this enormous undertaking,” stated the message.
