The WCS Fowl Supper held on November 14th was a huge success, said supper organizers.
This year the school had approximately 600 people at the supper so it was a great success. WCS would like to thank the students, parents, teachers, and community for all of their wonderful support.
Those who attended were entertained by the WCS concert band, the Rise Choir and the Grades 10-11-12 combined choir. The players from the Richardson Pioneer Gold Wings and Red Wings were on hand to volunteer, and served food along with helping with the cleanup afterward.
This fundraiser supports the school’s sports teams to offset transportation and entry fees, helps fees with clubs and activities, and also helps every student benefit and enjoy opportunities that the school offers.
Some of the extra things that are provided for students are speakers the school brings in, a free barbecue lunch during Welcome Week, and in June the Spirit Prizes for participation in the WCS spirit days.
