A Weyburn Comprehensive School student company, Bubble Up, is hoping to clean up with orders for handcrafted liquid soaps.

The company was formed by the Entrepreneurship class at the Weyburn Comprehensive School, under the instruction of teacher Margot Arnold. The Junior Achievement company is in the middle of production and will be getting orders out to people within the week.

“We are currently processing orders received last week. We have nearly met our sales goal for Bubble Up and are super excited to be working with the Weyburn Salvation Army, as 10 per cent of the total sales earnings will be given to them,” said Jamie Borshowa, co-president of the student company, along with Risa Burdan.

“We have introduced a limited-edition scent, which is Peppermint for $9.50,” she said. “We also have Bubble Bundles for $24. For the Bubble Bundles we are using our original scents (lavender, coconut, lemongrass, and unscented) and colours can be customized (pink, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple), but not the limited-edition Peppermint.”

The last day the students are taking orders will be Friday, June 11.

There are a variety of options people can use to place orders and to pay.

Orders can be placed on their Shopify website, bubble-up2.myshopify.com; they accept e-transfers to their company mail address, bubbleu17@gmail.com; cheques can be made out to Bubble Up, or customers can also use a credit card through Square (email company) or cash.

“The Bubble Up Company would like to thank everyone in Weyburn and area who has supported our company,” said Borshowa.

“We would also like to thank our sponsors, Weimer’s Hometown, Barber Motors, Home Hardware, Knight Dodge, and our special sponsor Great Plains Ford.”

The student members of Bubble Up, in addition to the co-presidents are as follows:

In charge of finance are vice-president Rohan Haupstein and Rise Burdan; for environment, health and safety, vice-president Codi Gibson and Stephanie Tegart; for marketing are vice-president Emma Zieglgansberger and Katelynn Shipley; in human resources, vice-president Diamond Krushelniski, and Avery Moule; for information technology are vice-president Janayah Tichkowsky and Mei Segade; in sales are co-vice presidents Reagan Schlosser and Jessica Benning, along with Mason Thackeray; and in production are vice-president Mei Segade, Ayva Mason, Cyrus Alcalde and Jenaya Sabourin.
