The City of Weyburn’s upcoming Credit Union Spark Centre has a new name for the indoor play and climb space.

MNP has partnered with the City through a sponsorship towards the play space, which will be known as the MNP Play Centre, contributing $150,000 over 10 years for the naming rights and signage.

The MNP Play Centre will be a major attraction when the recreation and cultural centre opens in September 2021.

“The Partner group at MNP is pleased to contribute to the new centre. We are excited for opening day. It is a wonderful addition to our community and we are proud to be a part of it,” said Melissa Swayze, MNP Partner. “MNP has always been committed to supporting the communities in Saskatchewan where we live and work. This donation is meaningful to MNP as it is going towards a place for recreation and learning activities that will benefit the Weyburn residents and families.”

The City of Weyburn is thrilled by MNP’s involvement with the facility.

“We are very excited to have MNP partner with us and we appreciate their investment in our community,” said Andrew Crowe, City of Weyburn director of leisure services. “We expect the inclusive MNP Play Centre to be a very popular amenity offering a year-round accessible and safe space for children to just be kids and play.”

The Credit Union Spark Centre is a multi-purpose sports, culture and recreation facility with many accessible interior features such as the MNP Play Centre, exercise track, art gallery, pottery studio, multi-use indoor sports field and outdoor ice surface.
