Weyburn police ask for public’s help in sexual assault case

The Weyburn Police Service are asking for the public’s assistance in solving a sexual assault incident that happened in a business parking lot on Saturday afternoon.

The Weyburn Police Service are asking for the public’s assistance in solving a sexual assault incident that happened in a business parking lot on Saturday afternoon.

The city police received a complaint of a female who had been sexually assaulted in the parking lot in the 1000 block of Sims Avenue at around 4 p.m.

A female was approached by a male in the parking lot where the sexual assault occurred, and an unknown male assisted the female in fending off the suspect.

The suspect is described as around 30 to 40 years old, approximately six feet tall, larger build, darker skin with long, dark and messy shoulder-length hair, wearing distressed jeans and a baggy T-shirt.

Police are also looking to speak with the male who helped the female. He was driving a blue GMC Duramax diesel truck.
