Ember Schira of Weyburn proudly showed off her outfit and banner declaring her as the 2019 Saskatchewan High School Rodeo Queen. She won the title in the competition held in Martensville at the High School Finals Rodeo competition, which had her go up against last year’s queen, Weyburn’s Megan Guest. She began her reign by heading to the national level competition in South Dakota over the weekend, and then the senior finals rodeo in Wyoming in a couple of weeks time. She will be attending rodeos throughout the province this summer, including Weyburn’s Souris River Rodeo to be held during the Fair.
