"Yellow Vest" protesters wave to motorists as they protested various current issues, lining the bridge on Government Road near Highway 39 in Weyburn on Saturday. This was the first time the Yellow Vest movement has had a public protest in Weyburn, and it was held simultaneously with similar protests in Regina and in various locations across Canada. The protest movement began in Paris, France, seven weeks ago in protest of the French government's taxes, among other issues, and it has spread around the world. Organizers said there will be more of these protests in Weyburn, and there are plans for a huge convoy of vehicles later this year from Edmonton to Ottawa, before the federal election.
