Weyburn-Radville RCMP arrest 2 men on drug charges

The Weyburn/Radville RCMP arrested and charged two men in separate incidents in which a quantity of cocaine and cash were seized over the Thanksgiving long weekend.

Weyburn/Radville RCMP located a vehicle in the RM of Weyburn on Oct. 4. As a result of this traffic stop and the subsequent investigation, an amount of cocaine and cash were seized. A 22-year-old male from Edmonton, Alta., has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Weyburn/Radville RCMP responded to a complaint of a suspicious vehicle in the RM of Weyburn at 9:45 p.m. on Oct. 7. The vehicle was located and the subsequent investigation revealed an amount of cocaine and cash. An 18-year-old male from Calgary has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Both individuals have made their first appearance in court and have been remanded into custody to appear in court in Weyburn on Tuesday, Nov. 13.
