REGINA — Police in Regina say they are investigating the death of a man in Wascana Park last night.
They say officers called to the north side of Wascana Lake just after 7:30 p.m. received information that a man who went "swimming" didn't come out of the water.
The Regina Police Service Underwater Investigation and Recovery team was called in, along with other emergency services personnel.
Police say an unresponsive man was pulled from the water and was pronounced deceased at around 9:18 p.m.
Investigators said they were withholding the man's name pending notification of his next of kin.
The Coroner has begun an investigation and police are asking anyone with further information about the case to contact them.
