Indulge in the magic of the season with live musical theatre from SaskExpress, with their new show, “All I Want for Christmas is You”, which brings all the warmth and holiday spirit of your favourite Christmas movies but set to a modern soundtrack.
The musical show will be performed in Weyburn at the Cugnet Centre on Tuesday, December 19, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at Old Fashion Foods in Weyburn, or from saskexpress.com. Conceived, written and directed by SaskExpress Artistic Director, Danny Balkwill, this production takes you on a journey through the joys and struggles of relationships. Whether romance, friendship, work or family, these relationships are all looking for fulfillment, which can be even harder to find around the holidays.
With hit songs from today, a few holiday classics, and a couple of unexpected surprises, their stellar cast and live band makes this a not-to-miss show for holiday season entertainment.
SaskExpress features the outstanding talents of performers Chloe Brûlé-Head, Jarret Curtis Cody, Shelby Glaze, Aerhyn Lau and Jacob Sawatzky of Regina, Miranda Sheepwash of Moose Jaw, Nilsen Tiefenbach of Edenwold and Gabby Dumonceaux, Tyler Taylor and Jillana Woloschuk of Saskatoon.
The live band consists of well-known local musicians, led by Craig Salkeld on keyboards and trumpet, Ken Burton on guitar, Danny Jones on bass, Michael Thompson and Jacob Sawatzky on trombone, with musical arrangements by Craig Salkeld and choreography by Broadway performer and SaskExpress alum, Matt Alfano.
See the show live on stage at the SaskExpress Theatre in Regina from December 6 to 16. SaskExpress is presented by PotashCorp, and they acknowledge the support of SaskCulture through the Saskatchewan Lotteries Trust Fund.
