Showing (VIDEO) Culture Days in Weyburn

Weyburn’s Culture Days celebration was held at Knox Hall on Saturday, featuring booths and displays from groups ranging from the Metis Nation of Saskatchewan Local 87 to Ukrainian egg painting and wood carving, and henna tattooing. Dances were provided by Weyburn’s Filipino community, Drewitz School of Dance and a First Nations drumming and singing group, and ethnic food was available at a nominal cost. The Weyburn Arts Council had a number of activities available, including T-shirt painting, a collaborative mural based on a photograph by Chris Borshowa, and button-making and puppet-making by the Weyburn Public Library.
