This is an excerpt of a song written by Brayden King, as he tried to deal with the loss of his friend, Kailynn Bursic-Panchuk. He explained that he had spent time with her shortly before she was hit by a train, and she later died of her injuries, and as he left for Belgium for a year-long student exchange program, it wasn’t until he was on a train there that he was finally able to deal with the impact of her death on him. He wrote this song from that experience, and received a standing ovation from the crowd gathered at the Legion Hall on Saturday evening for a performance by his band, the 7th Avenue. He also received a hug from Kailynn’s mother, Sandra LaRose, who was present for the concert by the band.
