Devin was predeceased by his father, Gerald Hala; nephew, Samuel Fleming; grandparents: Christina and Al Hoeving, Ernestine and Jacob Beck. Devin is survived by his wife, Jo-Anne and their children: Kade and Macie, Weyburn; Devin's children: Melissa and Michelle, Estevan; his mother, Doreen Hala, Weyburn; his brother, Chris (Heather) Hala, Weyburn and family: Landon, Chad, Stevie, Alex and Braden; his sister Natosha (Kevin Fleming) Hala, Griffin and family: Jacob and Anthony; his mother and father-in-law: Kelly Ann and Bob Schad, Weyburn; brother-in-law, Rob Schad, Blackfalds, AB; sister-in-law, Stacy (Ryan) Muxlow, Weyburn and family: Kegan, Mason, Zander and Lawson as well as many relatives and friends. Devin grew up working hard on the family farm. He learned to do all the things that came with farm life. He grew up hunting but always had a soft spot for animals. If Devin could catch it, it became a pet if only for a little while. Devin was a young man when he started working in the oil patch and went on to have a successful career in the oil industry. He worked with many of the same guys for years. Devin really loved his second family, the "oil patch family". He had a great deal of respect for the people he worked with. Devin married his best friend Jo-Anne. They were blessed to have spent 15 years loving each other. Devin was a very proud and loving father. He didn't hesitate to get on the floor to play, or just lay on the couch with his kids. Whether it was on the soccer field, at dance or just watching the parade go by grandma's house, Devin loved the time together with his family. No matter where his kids were, they were forever on his mind and in his heart. Devin' s greatest accomplishment will always be his family. Devin's personality was so big and his smile was infectious. He worked hard and took pride in what he did. Devin was successful at living his life. A celebration of Devin's life was held on Monday, April 29 at 2:00 p.m. at the Weyburn Curling Rink, Weyburn.
