Envision launches a needs assessment

As part of its strategic plan, the Envision Counselling and Support Centre is launching a needs assessment focusing on their geographical area, which covers a large portion of southeast Saskatchewan. A needs assessment is a way to understand needs or gaps in services in the current programming of an organization, or addressing areas where new services could be beneficial.

“This assessment will provide the necessary data on whether or not the programs and services being delivered by Envision are meeting the needs of the communities in which we serve,” said Envision executive director Christa Daku. “The needs assessment is also a great opportunity for Envision to compare the new data to previous assessments in order to see how our communities have grown and how Envision can support that growth.”

The last assessment in the area was in 2007.

In order to gather data for this assessment, Envision Counselling will hold focus groups within the communities it serves, as well as create an online survey. “The more people that we can get to take our survey, the better understanding we will have of the barriers they are facing with regard to service delivery,” said Daku.

Envision is encouraging all southeast residents to take part in the short online survey. It is available on Envision’s website or at www.surveymonkey.com/r/envision2018na.
