Weyburn and local Farm Credit Canada employees visited all the elementary schools in Weyburn on Thursday, to collect food and money donations for their Drive Away Hunger food drive. They picked up over 2500lbs of food which was all donated to the Weyburn Salvation Army. This equals to approximately 6500 meals. The day before, on Wednesday, the FCC visited Oungre, Fillmore, Gladmar and Radville to pick up donations for the schools there. Between the donations from the rural schools and other campaigns the FCC has done throughout the year, an additional 1200lbs of food was donated to the Salvation Army. This is a photo gallery from when the FCC picked up donations from Haig School and Souris School. For more information, pick up a copy of the October 23rd issue of the Weyburn Review.
