The Weyburn branch of the Royal Canadian Legion held their first-ever virtual Remembrance Day ceremonies on Wednesday inside the Legion Hall, without any members of the public present. Dignitaries were on hand to lay wreaths, and to give greetings as the ceremonies were broadcast on Access and livestreamed online for the public to view. Dignitaries included MLA Dustin Duncan, Mayor Marcel Roy, Yvonne Jones on behalf of MP Dr. Robert Kitchen, Capt. Rob Williams of the Royal Regina Rifles, and chaplain Marjorie McLeod, along with representatives of the Weyburn Police Service and RCMP. Jerry Ponto read the list of wreath donations made to the Legion, and the Legion Colour Guard both opened and finished the ceremonies with the colours.
