The Weyburn Beavers are quickly approaching the beginning of their 2014 season and are actively seeking host families for a number their players.

This opportunity may be of interest especially if you have young ball players in your family.

The Weyburn Beavers are baseball players who are playing collegiate baseball in either Canada or the U.S. They have sacrificed their summer in an effort to gain experience and exposure in a competitive summer college league.

"Our current and past host families have commented that the experience was very positive and in many cases long term friendships were forged," said Beavers President Garnet Hansen.

The players are in need of host families for the months of June & July and perhaps the first week of August. These young men will be away for a part of that season as they travel for away games. They really don't require much, an extra bedroom or perhaps you have a spare bed downstairs. Some meal preparation would be helpful but is not mandatory.

The Beavers do provide host families with monetary compensation to help offset some of those costs to have a player stay with your family.
