The Weyburn Beavers were in Moose Jaw Tuesday night facing the Miller Express and things did not go according to plan. The game did start out strong for the guys though, with Jack Barrie blasting one out of the park to earn two runs at the top of the first. Marcus Catalano followed up in the second with a four-base hit to make the score 3-1 for the Beavers. However, from there things got ugly. Between the third and seventh innings, the Miller Express earned 11 runs, five of which were scored in the third alone. No more runs were earned by either team and the game ended with a 12-3 score in favour of the Miller Express.
The Beavers return to Tom Laing Park tonight to host the Swift Current 57’s. On Thursday they have another home game, against the Yorkton Cardinals. Both games start at 7:05 p.m.
