Volleyball district playoffs were hosted by the Weyburn Comp on Tuesday for the intermediate boys and girls teams.
The WCS Junior A Boys are district champions. They went undefeated in the round robin to finish in first place, which gave them a bye to the semi final. They defeated Pleasantdale School from Estevan in the semi-final in two straight games, advancing them to the gold medal game against St. Mary’s from Estevan.
WCS lost the first game 19-25 and then won the next two games 25-20 and 15-10 to claim the title of District Champions.
The WCS Intermediate Girls are also district champions. The Eagles went undefeated for the tournament, defeating Estevan two straight sets in the final to capture the title.
Team members include Darcy Klein, Mya Folk, Bryanna Yeik, Ashley Kot, Jeana Hulbert, Addison Klapak, Kamryn Neiszner, Tasey Gerle, Macie Hala, Maggie Borschowa, Krystalynn Lascelle, Emma Kot, Jaylynn Haupstein, and coaches Andrea Kerr and Nicole Blackburn.
