Noah Kopec from the Weyburn AAA 13U Element Beavers team, made the final cut to play with the Sask Selects in the U13 National Championship in Quebec later this month.The tournament consists of 10 teams made up of the best baseball players of 13 years and under in all of Canada. He worked very hard to be at his best. If he isn’t at ball practice, he’s out for a run, playing catch with anyone brave enough to do it, or studying “how to” videos in playing the game. Kopec plays first base, pitcher and outfield positions. He’s known for his fast pitching, sneaky, speedy base running and those long reach lefty catches at first base. He was also champion of the provincial home run derby with 7 home runs out of 30 pitches!
