For the second time this season, a member of the Weyburn Gold Wings has been named Saskatchewan Female Midget AAA Hockey League star of the month.
Goalie, Chantal Burke, was named second star for the month of December. The 15-year-old rookie from Saskatoon posted two wins in December and finished the month with a 0.88 GAA, and a 94.7 save percentage.
Her coaches feel she is improving and is a very calm and determined goalie with her numbers getting better as the season goes. Burke was a member of Team SK U16 this past fall.
Getting the nod as the league's first star in December was Lilla Carpenter-Boesch of the Regina Rebels and the third star went to Kaytlyn Chickowski of the Prince Albert A&W Bears.
