Gold Wings drop two games against Sharks

The Richardson Pioneer Gold Wings hosted two games against the Battleford Sharks at Crescent Point Place on Saturday and Sunday. During the first game, held on Saturday night, the Gold Wings lost 9-0 to the Sharks.

The Richardson Pioneer Gold Wings hosted two games against the Battleford Sharks at Crescent Point Place on Saturday and Sunday.
During the first game, held on Saturday night, the Gold Wings lost 9-0 to the Sharks. Battleford scored three goals in the first period, five goals in the second and one goal in the third. Both Amara Lewendon and Daneka Dickson were in net for the Gold Wings. Lewendon played 40 minutes and stopped 19 attempts out of 25. Dickson played 20 minutes and stopped eight out of 11 shots.
The Gold Wings lost 7-3 against the Sharks in their second game, played on Sunday afternoon. Both teams scored a goal in the first period with Jayden Lindholm scoring an unassisted goal for the Gold Wings.
In the second period, the Sharks scored three times, while Mahteya Dumelie scored the lone goal for the Gold Wings. In the third period, the Sharks scored three times with Janna Keisig scoring a goal for the Gold Wings. Lewendon played 60 minutes in net, stopping 39 out of 46 shots.
The Gold Wings will be in Melville on Wednesday, November 15, to face up against the Prairie Fire. They will have a little break from regular season action, before hosting Melville at Crescent Point Place on Wednesday, November 22.
