The Weyburn Richardson Pioneer Gold Wings were in Wilcox Thursday night to play the Notre Dame Hounds and it certainly wasn't the outcome they were looking for.

The game started off with a short handed Hounds goal in the first period. The Hounds then put up another one with four minutes left in the period, but less than two minutes later Kira Barham responded and got the Wings on the board. Karleigh Mackenzie was credited with the assist.

From there things got messy and the Hounds scored seven more times before Dakota Bowler found the back of the net with less than two minutes left in the third. Mackenzie was once again credited with the assist.

Final shots were 38-9 for the Hounds with Chloe Burt in net for the Wings. The Gold Wings are currently playing with only one goaltender on the roster as Lexi Peace is suffereing from a concussion after taking a puck to the head during their game against the Saskatoon Stars November 17th.

Next up the Gold Wings play a home-and-home series against the Regina Rebels. The Rebels have home ice advantage first on Saturday morning and then the roles reverse for their game on Sunday. Puck drops at Crescent Point Place at 1:00 p.m.
