Hockey Weekend in Weyburn returns

The Weyburn Minor Hockey Association is once again holding its annual Hockey Weekend in Weyburn from January 17-19. Both the Crescent Point Place and Tom Zandee Sports Arena will be filled all weekend with hockey games of every level.

The Weyburn Minor Hockey Association is once again holding its annual Hockey Weekend in Weyburn from January 17-19.

Both the Crescent Point Place and Tom Zandee Sports Arena will be filled all weekend with hockey games of every level.

As a special treat, Element Technical Services is sponsoring a free pancake breakfast the morning of Saturday, Jan.18 in the CPP lobby. the breakfast will be available for WMHA families from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. They will also be collecting non-perishable food items to donate to the Salvation Army.

Other bonus events included in the weekend are that both the Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Red Wings and the Weyburn Richardson Pioneer Gold Wings will have home games during the tournament. The Red Wings host their High 39 rivals, the Estevan Bruins, on Friday night at 7:30 p.m., and the Gold Wings have a two-game series against the Saskatoon Stars with games on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 1:00 p.m. All three games will be played in the CPP arena and WMHA players who are wearing team gear will get into the games for free.
