Iron Pigs push series to game three

Having previously lost to the Regina Dodgers on Tuesday, the Weyburn Iron Pigs pushed their best of three playoff series with the Dodgers to game three after beating them 11-7 at Tom Laing Park on Thursday.

Having previously lost to the Regina Dodgers on Tuesday, the Weyburn Iron Pigs pushed their best of three playoff series with the Dodgers to game three after beating them 11-7 at Tom Laing Park on Thursday.

Eric Evans pitched a complete game with nine strikeouts. Clutch hits were made by Evans, Kelton Hoium and Will Morris in the fifth and six innings that put the Pigs up for good.

Game three will be in Regina on Sunday at 6 p.m.

The winner of Sunday's game will play in the finals against either the Regina Trappers or the Moose Jaw Padres.
