Local runners take part in cross-country provincials

The SHSAA provincial cross-country championships were held in Delisle on Saturday under cool and windy conditions, with a number of participants from area schools taking part.

In the midget girls category, the following runners placed: Emma Zieglgansberger, Weyburn Comp, placed 40^th; Hailey Verhelst of Radville High School placed 79^th; Yvein Orpiano of Stoughton Central School came in 82^nd; Kaelyn Bert of Radville finished in 91^st place, and Nikita Nahbexie of Stoughton School was 100^th.

In the midget boys category, Greyson Goudy of Stoughton Central School came in 46^th, Hendrick Buys of Radville was 78^th, Dustin McKim of Milestone was 86^th, and Easton Berner of Stoughton placed 92^nd.

In the junior boys category, Alejandro Olvera of the Weyburn Comp was 64^th, and Connor Cherpin of Radville placed in 83^rd position.

In the senior girls category, four girls from the Weyburn Comp placed: Arliss Sidloski was 35^th, Alexis Vandermey came in 49^th, Zoe Thompson was 99^th and Lorynn Labbie was in 101^st place.

For senior boys, Bradon Zieglgansberger of Midale Central School placed 40^th, Jackson Goudy of Stoughton placed 61^st, and Stevn Mlynarski of the Weyburn Comp came in 97^th.

In school team standings, in the 1A category, Stoughton Central School placed 14^th and Radville High School was 16^th. In the 4A schools category, the Weyburn Comp was 16^th.
