Zach Olson, from Weyburn, has been playing for Team Saskatchewan, the U16 provincial basketball team, this season. The team had training sessions in Regina and Saskatoon on the weekends throughout June/July. To get the team some experience, they competed in tournaments in Calgary, Edmonton and Spokane Washington (Gonazaga University). They have been working on refining their game to compete in their final competition this upcoming weekend, the Western Canada Summer Games in Swift Current.  Zach had a busy spring season playing for two club teams, the Hornets and out of Calgary Doggpound Hoops. With just a short break before school starts; Zach is going into his grade 11 year and will be playing volleyball and basketball for the WCS high school team.
