Kevin Folk, left, presented the Perry Folk Fellowship Award to the 2019 recipient, Kris Labatt, on Friday. The award was first presented in 2009 to Graham DeLaet, and was created in memory of Kevin’s brother Perry.
The award is presented annually to a “golf club patron who, through personal interaction, friendly demeanour and positive attitude enhances the clubhouse atmosphere and experience for the others in their company — in short, the Clubhouse MVP.”
Kevin talked to former recipients of the memorial award for possible suitable candidates, and Kris’s name came up on a lot of the lists as a worthy recipient.
The award was bought initially by York Jewellers, and is presented annually, along with a $100 gift certificate to Pumpjacks.
