The Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Red Wings finished their preseason games with a home-and-home series against the Notre Dame Hounds.
The Red Wings had home ice advantage first on Friday night and beat the Hounds 4-2. Goals were by Ben Hiltz, Gabriel Leblanc, Jaegar Lapointe and Guillaume St-Onge.
On Saturday night the two teams met at the Duncan McNeill Arena. The game ended up in favour of the Hounds with a final score of 5-1. Lapointed scored the only Red Wings goal of the night.
The Weyburn Red Wings next game is their Home Opener against the Estevan Bruins on Friday, September 13th. Puck drop is at 7:30 p.m.
