Red Wings win Preseason game

The Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Red Wings played their first preseason game on Tuesday night in Estevan against the Bruins. The Bruins were first on the scoreboard withTanner Manz scoring with less than three minutes left in the second period.

The Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Red Wings played their first preseason game on Tuesday night in Estevan against the Bruins. 

The Bruins were first on the scoreboard withTanner Manz scoring with less than three minutes left in the second period.

Jevon Schwean answered back by tieing up the game with 10 minutes left in the third period.

On a late powerplay, Jacob Piller scored with just three minutes left in the period.

An empty netter was scored by the Wings to finalize the 3-1 score.

Final shots were 33-27 for Estevan. Joe Young and Malcolm Patry split the time in the Wings net.

The Red Wings play their second preseason game Wednesday night at Crescent Point Place against the Yorkton Terriers at 7:30 p.m.

They then play a home-and-home series against the Notre Dame Hounds with the Wings acting as host first on Friday, September 6th. Hounds have home ice advantage the following day. Both games start at 7:30 p.m.
