Game play for the remainder of the 2020-2021 season for the Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Gold Wings has been postponed indefinitely, as announced on January 21.
Governors of the Saskatchewan Female Under 18 AAA Hockey League and the Saskatchewan Male Under 18 AAA Hockey League unanimously passed the following motion: “Due to the ongoing pandemic and health restrictions, league schedules will be postponed indefinitely. If public health measures allow for a return to game play at any time, the executive of each league will meet and review game play options for any teams that wish to continue.”
Teams under both leagues now have the opportunity to postpone all local team activities or continue with a team roster skill-directed program. Players will also be given the option to return home, if they so choose.
