Rural area athletes compete at regional track meet

The regional track meet for southeast athletes was held at the Weyburn Comp, where local students competed to advance to the Saskatchewan High School Athletic Association districts. The districts will be held today, May 24, at the Weyburn Comp track.

The regional track meet for southeast athletes was held at the Weyburn Comp, where local students competed to advance to the Saskatchewan High School Athletic Association districts. The districts will be held today, May 24, at the Weyburn Comp track.
The following are first and second place finishers from rural schools, which will be competing in districts today.
From Fillmore 33 Central, Jay Boll took first place in bantam boys shot put; Vienn Treble-Barkaus took first in bantam girls javelin; Calli Lubiens took second in bantam girls javelin; Jacoba Henderson took first in the midget girls 80 m hurdles and javelin, and second in midget girls 100 m and discus; Alexis Hanson took first in senior girls 1,500 m, the 3,000 m and triple jump; and Jordyn Trask took second in senior girls 200 m.
From Gladmar School, Jolynn Hlvaka took first in junior girls discus; Jordan Meyers took second in junior girls discus, shot put and javelin; Collin Holmes took first in midget boys high jump; John Hlvaka took second in midget boys shot put; Keeanna Tatarliov took first in senior girls high jump; and Riley Blackmore took second in senior girls javelin.
From Macoun, Ethan Block took second in the bantam boys 200 m; Riley Davidson took first in bantam girls high jump and second in the long jump; and Khenan Colbow took second in the peewee boys 400 m and the 800 m.
From Midale School, Brad Zieglgansberger took second in the junior boys 1,500 m and 3,000 m; Ethan Orsted took first in the junior boys triple jump; McKenna Bieber took second in junior girls triple jump; Dalis Prawdzik took first in the peewee girls 1,500 m and long jump; Emma Zieglgansberger took second in peewee girls 800 m; Mary Vilcu took second in peewee girls triple jump; and Brayden Weber took second in senior boys 800 m and 1,500 m.
From Ogema School, Rose-Ann Padua took second in the bantam girls 200 m; Paige Eden took first in the bantam girls discus and second in shot put; Justin Klassen took first in the junior boys high jump and second in the 800 m and long jump; R.G. Bulayog took second in junior boys javelin; and Aya Geslani took second in the peewee girls long jump.
From Pangman School, Jimmy Davidson took first in the bantam boys 800 m; Kianna Wolstenholme took second in bantam girls high jump; Jackson West took first in the midget boys shot put; and Christopher Davidson took second in the peewee boys triple jump. From Radville School, Clay Gust took first in the bantam boys 200 m and second in discus; Kyle Perras took first in the junior boys 100 m and 200 m; Haley Labbie took second in junior girls 3,000 m; Cody Labbie took first in the midget boys 100 m hurdles and second in long jump; Issak Redwood took second in the midget boys 100 m hurdles; Rylan Neiszner took first in the midget boys 3,000 m and second in discus, triple jump and javelin; Cooper Meston took first in the midget boys 1,500 m; Emily Wudrick took first in midget girls 100 m and 200 m; Alyssa Fisher took second in the midget girls 200 m and high jump; Jordyn Verhelst took first in the midget girls 800 m and second in the 3,000 m; Hailey Verhelst took second in the peewee girls 1,500 m; Trista Stadnick took second in the peewee girls 200 m; Luke Niemegeers took first in the senior boys 100 m and second in discus and long jump; Carlie Henheffer took first in senior girls 80 m hurdles and second in the 100 m and long jump; Olivia Verhelst took first in senior girls discus and second in senior girls shot put; and Julia Verhelst took first in senior girls javelin and long jump.
From Stoughton school, Zane King took first in the bantam boys 3,000 m; William Poorman took second in the bantam boys 400 m; Justin Brown took first in the junior boys long jump and second in the 100 m; Reid Folk took second in the junior boys 100 m hurdles; Cale Piper took first in the junior boys discus; Jenelle Breault took first in the junior girls 400 m and placed second in the 200 m and 1,500 m; Jackson Goudy took first in midget boys javelin; Shaelynn Hagen took first in the midget girls 400 m; Lenexx Sheepskin took first in the peewee girls 800 m; Yveian Orpiano took second in the peewee girls 100 m; Kienan Piper took first in the senior boys 800 m and second in the 100 m; and Sydney Kingdon took second in senior boys shot put.
From Yellow Grass, Walker Watson took second in the bantam boys high jump and the triple jump; Preston Hoffart took second in junior boys 400 m; Michael Weisgerber took second in junior boys triple jump; Taylor Rooney took second in junior girls 400 m; Kaycee Mullinger took first in junior girls high jump; Andrew Altwasser took first in peewee boys triple jump and took second in discus and shot put; and Walker Whitrow took second in senior boys high jump.
