“The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) has had many challenges over the past several months and our focus and commitment remains to complete our 2020- 2021 hockey season. The announcement by the Provincial Government's Business Response Team (BRT) that there would be no consideration of return to play (games) for at least four weeks is one more challenge the SJHL faces,” said Chow.

“We are grateful that our season has not been shut down completely. The SJHL has formed a committee to determine options for our return to play and determine the best scenario for all concerned.”

He added that the initial focus for the SJHL teams is to have the players return to their SJHL communities to continue their training and hockey development as soon as possible.

“There are many factors to consider and first and foremost is the health and safety of our players, staff members, volunteers, and our fans. Details regarding our schedule will be announced at a later date,” said Chow.
