Team South East set to participate at the 2012 Summer Games

The Southeast Connection Sport, Culture & Recreation District has announced the members representing Team South East who will attend the 2012 Saskatchewan Summer Games in Meadow Lake from July 29 to August 4, 2012.

The Southeast Connection Sport, Culture & Recreation District has announced the members representing Team South East who will attend the 2012 Saskatchewan Summer Games in Meadow Lake from July 29 to August 4, 2012.

The first half athletes, coaches and managers will be leaving early Sunday morning for their long journey bus ride to Meadow Lake. Nine district teams will take part in this weeklong event. Team South East has representation in 15 of the 16 participating sports with approximately 200 athletes, coaches and managers. Also attending the Games will be seven (7) District Mission Staff who are responsible for overseeing and providing assistance to team members.

Since 1972 the Saskatchewan Games program has provided an opportunity for the province's developing athletes, coaches and officials to attend and compete in a multi-sport event. Many of these participants often go on to higher levels of competition including the Western Canada Summer Games, the Canada Games, national championships and beyond.
