(L-R) Ulterra LP members Danny Crowe, Christian Cop, Mike Boyles and Craig Knull presented a cheque for $30,000 to members of the Weyburn and District Hospital Foundation Inc. Kim Thorson, Grant Marinos and George Siourounis on September 21 to help fund the Foundation's 2011 charity golf tournament.

The Weyburn and District Hospital Foundation Inc. has announced that Ulterra LP has come on board as the title sponsor for their charity golf tournament in the summer of 2011. The tournament will now be referred to as "Ulterra presents the Graham DeLaet Charity Golf Tournament in support of Weyburn and District Hospital Foundation Inc." All proceeds from the tournament will go to the building fund towards the future construction of a new hospital to serve the needs of Weyburn and surrounding area.

"I am very excited that we have secured a title sponsor for this charity tournament," said Mike Hoffman, chairperson of the tournament committee. "Ulterra has made a significant commitment to the tournament and to the Weyburn and District Hospital Foundation Inc. and we are looking forward to working with them over the next year to help ensure the success of the tournament. Ulterra has committed their company as being strong supporters of the Weyburn and District Hospital Foundation and they are to be commended for their support of this very worthy cause."

Ulterra has pledged to contribute $30,000 for the charity golf tournament, broken up into two installments. The first of which was presented to the Foundation on September 21.

Craig Knull, Vice President and General Manager of Ulterra LP Canada explained why the company has decided to fund the tournament.

"Since our employees and their families are an integral part of the community, Ulterra is proud to have the opportunity to support the Weyburn and District Hospital Foundation in its philanthropic endeavours. Giving back to the communities we live and work in is a critical component of the Ulterra culture and we are honoured to have the opportunity to contribute."

Chair of the Foundation Kim Thorson said that he hopes that Ulterra isn't the only person to "step-up" and help fund the tournament.

"It's a great start for us," said Thorson of the grant from Ulterra.

The date of the tournament has yet to be set and depends largely on Weyburn-born PGA pro Graham DeLaet's schedule.

The events of the day will include a breakfast which will be open to the public; a junior golf clinic to be put on by DeLaet in conjunction with Weyburn Golf Club pro Dean Toles. Also, during the tournament, DeLaet will be hitting a tee shot on the long par five, 10th hole, for each team. The day will wrap up with a supper followed by both a silent and live auction.
