(UPDATE) Red Wings make big moves following unsuccessful series

After falling 7-1 and 5-2 to the Estevan Bruins in a home-and-home series this week, the Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Red Wings announced some big moves with its roster on Thursday and Friday.

After falling 7-1 and 5-2 to the Estevan Bruins in a home-and-home series this week, the Richardson Pioneer Weyburn Red Wings announced some big moves with its roster on Thursday and Friday.

First of all, the Red Wings have traded '00 born goaltender, Noah Decottignies, to the Humboldt Broncos in exchange for the list rights of '01 born forward, Issac Leik, and a Player Development Fee. During his time with the Wings, Decottignies played in 22 games and had eight wins, nine losses and one shootout loss with a save percentage of 0.912.

Next the Red Wings announced they had received '00 born defenceman, Kabir Gill from the Coquitlam Express of the BCHL in exchange for a PDF.  Gill started playing with the Coquitlam Express during the 2018/19 season and during his time there the past two seasons, he put up six assists and one goal in 47 games played. 

The last announcement the Red Wings made Thursday was that they had acquired '00 born goaltender, Douglas Wakelyn. Wakelyn is from Colorado Springs USA and was previously playing for the Louisiana Drillers of the NA3HL (North American 3 Hockey League). Also during the 2019/20 season, Wakelyn played one game for the P.A.L. Junior Islanders of the NCDC (National Collegiate Development Conference) and seven games for the P.A.L. Junior Islanders of the USPHL (United States Premier Hockey League) Premier. 

Friday only had one announcement from the Wings as they had traded '99 born defenseman, Connor Karo, the Yorkton Terriers in exchange for a PDF. During his time with the Wings, Karo put up two goals and 10 assists in 35 games. Karo was the last remaining '99 born player on the Red Wings roster.
