All of the Weyburn Comp Eagles cheer and dance teams had a chance to take the floor at the 2020 annual Best of the West Cheer and Dance competition, held over the weekend in Regina at the International Trade Centre in Evraz Place.
The senior cheer team brought home a third place finish, while the junior cheer team brought home first in their division.
For dance, the WCS hip hop team brought home second with the jazz team dancing away with a first place banner.
The Junior Eagles cheer team have now finished their competition season.
The jazz cheer team includes Darby Croal, Jorja Smolinski, Lauren Barsness, Lexi Gerry, Maddie Gerry and Teresa Weger.
The hip-hop team includes Althea DeJesus, Chloe Skinner, Danica Perez, Danica Rodenbush, Fancheska Ombi-on, Kat Weinhold, Onello Bahingawan, Sydney Keating and Trisha Marivales.
The senior cheer team includes Arianna Buck, Cadance Bowman, Caitlyn Chicoine, Dana Rogers, Erin Rogers, Hayden Laroque, Piper McKinney, Rachel Keith, Rochelle Toporoski, Sydney Keating and Bailey Bowler.
The junior cheer team includes Allie Cugnet, Brooke Verbeurgt, Gracen Gillespie, Halle Vinck, Kaedee Schultz, Katie Pelchat, Selah Johnston and Sienne Bell.
The WCS senior cheer, hip hop, and jazz teams will compete once more this year, at the Warman Ultimate Cheer Classic in Warman on the weekend of March 6 and 7.
