Weyburn Silver Seals compete at semi/provincial finals in Regina

The Weyburn Silver Seals had 22 swimmers attend a combined Provincial Semi-Finals and Provincial Swim Meet on August 4 and 5 in Regina.

The Weyburn Silver Seals had 22 swimmers attend a combined Provincial Semi-Finals and Provincial Swim Meet on August 4 and 5 in Regina.

In the semi-final level, Weyburn swept the 15-17 year-old girls category with gold going to Callahan Huebner, silver going to Karly Moser and a bronze going to Tana Wilkins. In the 15-17 year-old boys category, gold went to Steven Speers and Dakken Bedore captured. In the 11-12 year-old boys division, Tyler Grieve captured gold.

In the provincial finals, swimmers received medals for first to third place finishes in each race. Results were: Callahan Huebner - first in 200 free and second in 100 fly, 100 free, 100 back and 200 IM; Karly Moser - first in 50 free and third in 200 free, 100 fly, 100 free and 200 IM. Tana Wilkins - second in 200 free, third in 100 breast, fourth in 100 free and 50 free and sixth in 100 back; Steven Speers - first in 200 free, 100 free, 100 back and 100 IM and second in 100 flyl Dakken Bedore - first in 100 breast and second in 200 free, 100 free, 50 free and 200 IM; Tyler Grieve - first in 100 breast, second in 200 free and 200 IM, fourth in 100 free and fifth in 50 free. Olivia Barber - seventh in 100 back; Khloe Bedore - fifth in 50 fly; Emma Bitz - second in 50 breast; Olivia Bocian - third in 50 fly; Caitlin Davis - ninth in 100 fly; Ruslan Edgerton - fourth in 100 back and sixth in 50 fly; Bransyn Lyon - second in 25 fly, fourth in 25 breast and 25 back, fifth in 50 free and 25 free; Nicholas Mass - fourth in 50 back and ninth in 100 free; Kiera Pittman - sixth in 25 breast; Reece Pittman - seventh in 25 breast; Paige Speers - fifth in 100 back and 200 IM, sixth in 100 breast and ninth in 100 free; McKinley Thomas-Perry - fourth in 25 fly and 100 IM and fifth in 25 breast; Kara Zelyck - fifth in 25 fly.
