The Weyburn VC defeated the Queen City Volleyball Club (QCVC) Black Ice 25-21, 12-25, 15-9 in Sunday's 13U Women Gold Medal final in Saskatoon. The Weyburn victory ended the Black Ice's perfect run through the tournament up to that point, including a 3-set victory in Pool Play over the same Weyburn-side. The Saskatoon JCVC Fierce defeated the Prince Albert Optimist Toppers Esprit 25-20, 25-20 to win Bronze.

Weyburn won both Pool C and Pool K going through Pool Play, before defeating the Regina QCVC Thunder and Fierce en-route to the final. The Black Ice, who were Gold Medalists at Subway Sask Cup #1 in February, won Pool A and J, and followed up with playoff matches over the Saskatoon Smash and Esprit to get to the final. The Fierce won Pool C and Pool L, and defeated the Prince Albert VC Smashing Bananas in one quarterfinal before falling to Weyburn in the semifinal. The Esprit started the tournament slow, taking third in Pool D, before winning Pool M and a quarterfinal match over the Wakaw Warriors.

The Saskatoon Smash, who won Pool B and tied for first in Pool M only to lose out on a tie-breaker, had just two losses on the weekend, both at the hands of the Black Ice. The Smash defeated the QCVC Purple Thunder for fifth, while Wakaw defeated the Smashing Bananas for seventh. The Battleford VC Impact defeated the QCVC White Lightning 25-23, 25-18 to take ninth. The Prince Albert VC Fusion defeated the Volleyball Saskatoon Dynamo 25-14, 25-13 for eleventh place.

The next action for 13U Women is the Conexus Provincial Volleyball Championship April 25th-27th in Saskatoon and Warman.
