Weyburn Wild wins U12 softball provincials

The Weyburn Wild went undefeated in the U12B Girls Softball Provincials held in Balgonie over the weekend. The Wild started the tourney off with a 21-4 win against the Cupar Canucks.

The Weyburn Wild went undefeated in the U12B Girls Softball Provincials held in Balgonie over the weekend.

The Wild started the tourney off with a 21-4 win against the Cupar Canucks.

On Saturday morning, they faced the Lumsden Cubs, and came out on top 21-8.

They then played the Twin City Angels to finish off round robin play, winning 25-3.

In the quarter finals on Sunday morning, they faced the Storm Selects and beat them 18-1, which advanced the Wild to the semifinals.

The girls went up against the Unity Panthers, and the game was called due to the mercy rule in the fifth inning with the score 11-2.

This sent them to the A final to come up against the NE Magic. It was a great match up, with the Weyburn Wild coming out on top in two extra innings by a score of 10-8.
