Yellow Grass homeboy and professional bull rider, Aaron Roy, was injured during a run at the Calgary Stampede on Thursday night when the bull he was riding stepped on his back.
Roy was taken immediately to the Foothills Hospital in Calgary where he underwent surgery and is still being examined. He is conscious, his condition is stable and he is still able to move his feet and toes. His family will be making an announcement with more details about his status at on Friday.
Roy was scheduled to perform in the Weyburn Rodeo this weekend, but that is now highly unlikely.
