Minor ball teams busy with games

Weyburn Element Beavers AAA Mosquito played two doubleheaders on the weekend. On Saturday, they beat the Lumsden Cubs 9-8 in their first game, and then lost 20-13 in game 2.

Weyburn Element Beavers AAA Mosquito played two doubleheaders on the weekend. On Saturday, they beat the Lumsden Cubs 9-8 in their first game, and then lost 20-13 in game 2.

On Sunday the Beavers lost the first game to the Swift Current 57s 12-11 and followed it up with a 9-6 victory in game 2. The Beavers are now 5-7 on the season.

Their next home action is on Sunday, May 27, versus White Butte at Jubilee Park.

The Peewee AAA DFA Transport Beavers traveled to Regina on May 15 to face the Regina White Sox.

Pitching for the Beavers was Sutter Balog, Vlad Szczecinski, Ty Mason and Wyatt Lacoste. After six innings, the final score was 10-3 for the Sox.

The Beavers traveled back to Regina for the Legasse Tournament over the long weekend.

The Beavers had a successful first day, winning game one against Saskatoon with a final score of 6-2. The Beavers won game two against Regina Buffalos with a final score of 10-9.

On Sunday, the Beavers lost against Swift Current with a score of 8-6. The Beavers moved on to the semifinals to face the Regina White Sox. The Sox came out with the win with a score of 10-0.

The Peewee AAA DFA Transport Beavers hosted the Regina White Sox on Tuesday night at Jubilee Park, and the Beavers fell to the White Sox losing 8-7. Pitching for the Beavers was Ty Mason, Wyatt Ebel and Quinn Mantei. Next action for the Beavers is Thursday night, May 24, when they host the Regina Buffalos at 6:15 p.m. at Jubilee Park.
