Synchro Stars host provincial figures

The Weyburn Synchro Stars hosted the Marnie Eistetter Figures Meet on November 18. This was Synchro Saskatchewan’s first competition of the 2017-2018 season. The competition was held at the Weyburn Leisure Center.

The Weyburn Synchro Stars hosted the Marnie Eistetter Figures Meet on November 18. This was Synchro Saskatchewan’s first competition of the 2017-2018 season. The competition was held at the Weyburn Leisure Center. This event was a terrific showcase of Saskatchewan talent as athletes competed individually for best in their age category.

The following are results from local swimmers. In the ages nine to 10 year-old category: 10th - Olivia Pederson, 11th – Lily Popescu, 16th – Kabri Ozman, 17th – Mya Periard, 18th – Avery Wilson and 21st –Rylie Gervais (41.2500). In the ages 11 and 12 year-old category: 2nd – Payton Caldwell and 4th – Hailey Kirkpatrick. In the Sask. Winter Games Figures: 13th - Alexis Vandermey, 15th – Megan Dammann and 23th – Marley Kradovill.

Synchro Saskatchewan athlete, coach, and volunteer recognition awards dinner was held on November 18. Every November, the Synchro Saskatchewan board recognizes the importance of the athletes, coaches and volunteers at the annual Synchro Sask Recognition Awards Dinner. Synchro Saskatchewan recognize their hardworking volunteers, who provide the athletes with a quality environment in which to grow. The beautiful, “winter Wonderland” themed event was held at the Knox Presbyterian Hall.

The Weyburn Synchro Stars and Synchro Saskatchewan hosted a Whole Athlete Development Camp on November 19. The camp was held at the Weyburn Leisure Center and Wheatland Senior Center. Recreational, provincial and national level athletes attended this camp from across Saskatchewan. The Whole Athlete Development Camp was a tremendous success and athletes enjoyed many different stations including kickboxing, mental training, figure development and speed swimming.
