The Weyburn Red Wings have traded goaltender Riley Lamb to the Yorkton Terriers in exchange for the Terriers backup goaltender Ben Laidlaw. As well, the Wings gained the rights to defencemen Parker Gavlas and Christian Riemer. Laidlaw has played for the Terriers for two years and has played in 17 games this season with nine wins, eight losses and one overtime loss. Gavlas and Riemer currently play in the WHL with Gavlas playing for the Edmonton Oil Kings and Riemer playing for the Swift Current Broncos.

The Weyburn Red Wings have also annouced that they have changed Kyle Haines title of Interim Head Coach to Head Coach for the remainder of the season. This is Haines first year coaching, but he has certainly proven himself worthy especially after yesterday's 6-1 victory. Alongside him on the bench are Assistant Coaches Jeff Schaeffer and Tucker Neuberger.
