The Weyburn Beavers were on a three-game slump with a 6-5 loss at home against the Edmonton Prospects on Saturday and two 8-4 losses on the road against the Okotoks Dawgs on Monday and Tuesday. They were supposed to face the Dawgs for a third time on Wednesday, but due to heavy rainfall, the game was postpone to August 7th.
On Thursday, the Beavers found their groove again in Lethbridge with an 11-5 win against the Bulls. They added on another win against the Bulls on Friday night with a 9-1. They finish their three-game series against the Bulls tonight.
In other Beavers news, the 2019 WCBL All Star Game Roster was announced this week and quite a few Beavers were chosen to represent Weyburn at the game in Edmonton on July 7th. They include the following:
Pitchers: Seth Pigg, Christian Vick and Jacob Standridge
Fielders: Justin Summers, Jack Barrie and Garrett Perez
