Wrestling Club to hold registration for 2017 season

The Weyburn Cobra Wrestling Club will be holding their registration for the upcoming season, at the Weyburn Credit Union Community Room on Monday, September 25. The registration will be held from 6 to 8 p.m.

The Weyburn Cobra Wrestling Club will be holding their registration for the upcoming season, at the Weyburn Credit Union Community Room on Monday, September 25. The registration will be held from 6 to 8 p.m.
Cost for registration to the Cobra Wrestling Club is $180 for freshie to peewee athletes (born 2006 to 2011 or later), and $225 for bantam to juvenile (born 2000 to 2005).
A free wrestling camp will be held at the Soo Line Daycare gym, open to all ages and skill levels, on Saturday, September 30 from 9 a.m. to noon.
The wrestling season begins on November 1, and all practices are held at the Soo Line Daycare Gym (formerly known as Elgin School).
The club has age ranges from children born in 2000, to kids born in 2011. Practices for the freshie and peewee programs are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.
Practices for the bantam to juvenile athletes programs are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30 to 9 p.m., and on Wednesdays from 6 to 8 p.m.
The club is also expecting to have a good showing at their annual home tournament, which will be held at the Weyburn Comprehensive School on December 2. The home tournament will feature up to 150 wrestling athletes from across the province.
The Weyburn Cobra Wrestling Club provides an opportunity for youth from the ages of 5-17 who live in the Weyburn area to learn and participate in the sport of wrestling.
